David Baker, CEO
David started with Embla in 2005 as President. David has more than 26 years of management experience and over 16 years in sleep diagnostics where he was part of the creation and subsequent success of the Sandman sleep diagnostic system, now a Division of Tyco Healthcare. David was one of the original founders in 1992 and served as President until the company was sold in 1995. Subsequently, he spent the next seven years as the Senior Director and General Manager of their Sleep Diagnostic business. In addition to experience with the sleep diagnostic equipment David also spent about two years with a start-up sleep lab company in the Southwestern US and worked to build a series of sleep labs in Arizona and Southern California. This combined experience of equipment development and sales plus the operational experience of having run sleep labs gives David a unique insight into the sleep business.

Bogi Pálsson, Chairman of the Board
Bogi was elected to the Board at the company's AGM in March 2004. He invested in Medcare Flaga hf. shortly before and became one of the company's core investors. Bogi has been an innovator and an entrepreneur for 20 years and chairman of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce between 2000 and 2004. Bogi is currently the owner and Executive Chairman/CEO of Eignarhaldsfelagiđ Stofn ehf. a private investment company based in Iceland.

Erlendur Hjaltason, Independent Board Member and Chairman of the Compensation and Audit Committees
Erlendur Hjaltason is the co-CEO of Exista hf, a Financial Services Company listed on the Icelandic Stock Exchange. He is an MBA graduate from Handelshřjskolen in Copenhagen (the Copenhagen Business School), and since graduating, Erlendur worked for Eimskipafélag Íslands (Eimskip). Eimskip is the largest transport group in Iceland. Erlendur led various departments in Eimskip and played a key role in the development of the company's overseas operations as Head of Overseas Operations, eventually becoming CEO of Eimskip in 2002. Erlendur joined Exista in September 2004 as the Group's CEO, and was elected the chairman of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce in February 2006.

Eggert Dagbjartsson, Independent Board Member
Eggert was elected to the Board in 2002. Eggert lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Eggert is a partner and co-Managing Director of Equity Resource Investments, LLC. The company operates specialized investment funds investing in real estate based investments in the United States. He has, in addition, invested in high-growth technology companies. Eggert is on the board of several companies in the United States.

Hákon Sigurhansson, Independent Board Member
Hákon became a board member in March 2006. He holds an MSc in Electronic Engineering from Aalborg University and an MBA from ESCP-EAP in Paris. Hákon has over 15 years of management experience in the telecommunication and software industries in Iceland and the US. Hákon is the Managing Director for TM Software – Healthcare, a software engineering company in Iceland.

Hildur Árnadóttir, Independent Board Member
Hildur has been an executive for over 10 years. She started her career in 1990 at KPMG in Iceland and became a partner of the company in 1997. Hildur joined Bakkavör Group in 2004 and served as the group's CFO until 2008. Hildur is a Board Member of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce and the Finnish Icelandic Chamber of Commerce. Hildur holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Iceland and became a state authorised public accountant in 1995.
